Amedea has been teaching me 121 and in small groups for a couple of years. She is a fantastic teacher. She makes lessons fun, interesting and relevant to my life by focussing on language I can use on holidays/ etc. I have also found learning Italian with Amedea to be a wonderful mental “change of gear” from a busy job - stimulating and relaxing (even when I haven’t done my homework!). I completed 2 10 week courses of private lessons with Amadea and couldn’t recommend her enough!

She really listened to what I wanted and tailored the lessons to me. I had spent 3 months living in Italy for work so had learnt a bit through immersion but felt I lacked some basic grammar knowledge because of this. I therefore opted for private lessons so I could get these gaps filled in and expand on the language I did know. Amadea very quickly adapted to how I wanted to learn, we would spend lessons practicing speaking and she would tailor homework to my interests. This really helped in being able to slot in Italian lessons around my schedule because it made even the homework interesting!

I also work shift work and Amadea was very flexible in accommodating my changing schedule. She was also accommodating in the homework amount she assigned, there was always on option to do as much or little as you had time for. If you’ve always wanted to learn Italian but worry it’d be too much, I can’t recommend Amadea enough. We have just returned from an Italian holiday and, thanks to Amedea's fantastic tuition, we were able to converse in Italian, which was great fun and added massively to our enjoyment of the trip. Amedea really listen to what you want to get out of your Italian lessons and tailors the lessons to meet this, as well as making them great fun. Amedea is an excellent teacher and I highly recommend this course for those interested in learning Italian. I took a 10-week beginners course with Amedea which was kindly gifted to me by my partner as a Christmas present. I travel to Italy for work regularly and have also spent time there on various trips and holidays. I’ve always loved the language so taking a language class was the perfect gift! Amedea brought such a wonderful energy to her classes and made the learning experience personally relevant to all of us on her course who were trying to learn Italian for various different reasons. Amedea encouraged us from the start to actively speak in Italian but also taught us the basics of Italian grammar so we were able to understand how the language works and sounds. I would wholeheartedly recommend Amedea’s classes to anyone trying to learn Italian, they were a fantastic starting point for me and have encouraged me to continue to learn the beautiful Italian language. Amedea is an incredible teacher and makes you feel very cared for as her student. Amedea is an inspiring, inclusive, knowledgeable and patient teacher. The lessons are great fun and she always makes sure that everyone is involved and encouraged. Her command of the English language (as well as Italian!) is incredible - she does a pretty mean Scottish accent too! I have just completed the first ten introductory lessons, and cannot recommend Amedea highly enough for anbody wanting to learn enough basic Italian to 'get by' in Italy. Incredible teaching and Italian lessons! I can't recommend Learn Italian Manchester and Amedea enough. She's an incredible teacher, and even though the classes are online, felt very personable and connected everybody in the class wonderfully. She seamlessly progressed the learners through the course, and also helped us feel more at ease and supported as beginners learning Italian for the first time. If you're looking to learn Italian, whether or not you're based in Manchester, I recommend utilising Learn Italian Manchester and Amedea's incredible language learning. As a complete novice, Amedea has help me build confidence in reading and speaking Italian. She's an excellent (and patient) tutor and aways with a smile.

Highly recommend learning Italian for beginners with Amedea. Her lessons are always interactive and insightful. Giving you key skills in not only understanding conversation, but gaining the confidence in speaking it as well! I've been having lessons with Amedea for a number of years now and I can't recommend her highly enough. The lessons are fun and engaging, with a good mix of grammar, verbs and insights into everyday life in Italy. If you're a bit unsure about attending a class, I'd say don't worry about it one bit, as the lessons are informal and above all enjoyable. Honestly, attend a few lessons, and you'll soon find you'll be wanting to kick yourself for not having gone sooner.
