Last week I went to the BBC for an interview with the lovely Sam Walker at BBC Radio Manchester. Sam wanted to talk about my fundraising charity idea for The Christie Hospital: £5 and you could either win a holiday to Italy or a mini Italian for beginners course! Not bad considering it’s all going to charity!
Please listen to the interview and feel free to tell as many people as you know about this fundraising idea for the Christie Hospital as the more people know about the great work of the Christie Hospital the better:

As you can imagine I was a bit nervous and kept my fingers crossed hoping that I wouldn’t make a fool of myself live on Radio Manchester.
I’m raising money for the Christie Hospital in memory of my beloved friend Francesca, a gorgeous girl from Venice, who lost her battle to cancer in Jan 2013. So this charity is very close to my heart.
Who wants to escape this horrible March winter weather and head to Italy on holiday for a fiver??
BBC Radio Manchester has chosen to support for a whole year the Christie Hospital. This partnership aims to raise One Million Pounds to benefit cancer patients in Greater Manchester through a new mobile chemotherapy unit that will take Christie care closer to patients’ homes.

Sam and her production team were so kind and friendly that I managed to relax. Sam even practiced one of my favourite Italian phrases:
Un bicchiere di Vino Rosso – A glass of red wine
During the interview Sam was amazed that a £5 could win you a holiday to Italy with Eurocamp??
Everybody at Radio Manchester think it’s a fantastic prize and it’s for Christies! With the prize draw fast approaching the odds of winning are actually very high.
You too can take part in this fundraising: https://www.theitalianinterpreter.co.uk/fundraising/

A massive thank you to:
Laura Riley at Eurocamp for donating the prize
Sarah Casey for helping me throughout this fundraising initiative

Everybody who have kindly donated!
Grazie mille!
