This is one of the first lessons I teach my students, as it’s a common conversation you will experience in Italy. It’s also a very fun and easy interaction to have!
So let’s imagine it’s 6 o’clock on a Friday and you’re in Italy. It’s time for your aperitif. You’d like to order drinks in Italian at a local bar, and find a nice place with tables looking out onto the square. You’ve got the attention of the waiter, who comes over to serve you.
Here’s how to order drinks in Italian:
